Director-Choreographer
Owner and founder of the 8 Count Dance Complex, director and choreographer of Blueprint Dance Inc. (aka Blueprint Cru), director of Hip Hop Dance Canada, founder of Raise the Bar and established choreographer, Steve Bolton is still working on accomplishing more.
Steve Bolton opened a dance studio that offers the best quality dance training to students of all ages. With about 1000 students, 8 Count has created some of the country’s top dancers, choreographers and teachers. Not only is Steve a very successful businessman, his artistic side has also taken a large leap as he is one of the most sought after Canadian choreographers worldwide. After being the city’s first choreographers to be signed to D.D.O. talent agency, one of Los Angeles’ biggest agencies, there were numerous requests for his services. Steve has taught in Los Angeles, Ireland, France, Norway, Steve returned to Ireland, for the second year in a row, to judge the Irish Hip Hop Championships as well as teach a master Hip Hop class. In the past year, he continues to make a name for himself all over Europe, giving master classes in France and Norway.
Back here in Montreal, Steve was hired as the choreographer for one of the most successful French comedians in the country, Rachid Badouri. Moreover, Steve was also artistic director of the biggest award shows in French Canadian television, the Gala Artis on TVA and the 22nd annual Gala des prix Gémeaux, where all the members of Blueprint performed alongside André Robitaille on Radio-Canada. As Steve’s list of credentials grows at a rapid speed, he is yet again requested to choreograph for French R&B artist Zaho. With the participation of the members of Blueprint, this video has been on heavy rotation on the music channels in France.
Although Steve alone has achieved what would normally take 4 individuals to accomplish, he continues to undertake more projects to inspire and motivate others to reach higher levels. His goal remains the same: helping the caliber of dance in Canada develop and grow, as well as putting the country on the map. Steve is a leader, a creator and a visionary.
